DOMEX Safety | June 23, 2026

In a landmark move concluded in late May 2026, the European Council has given final approval to the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). This legislation marks a significant shift in how multinational corporations must manage their global supply chains.
The directive, which has now entered the formal publication phase, mandates that large companies operating in the EU must identify, prevent, and mitigate adverse impacts on human rights and the environment throughout their entire value chain. For the safety workwear sector, this translates to rigorous scrutiny of manufacturing processes, raw material sourcing (such as cotton and synthetic fibers), and labor conditions in textile mills.
For safety workwear exporters and manufacturers, compliance is no longer optional.
Supply Chain Transparency: Companies must map their entire supply chain, from raw fiber to finished garment.
Penalties for Non-compliance: Firms failing to meet these standards face exclusion from the EU market and substantial fines.
Strategic Advantage: Manufacturers like DOMEX, who have maintained certified and transparent production systems, are better positioned to assist clients in navigating this new regulatory landscape.
