China Launches Five-Year Action Plan for Work Injury Prevention Recently, nine departments, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, jointly issued the "Five-Year Action Plan for Work Injury Prevention (2026-2030)." The plan explicitly identifies hazardous chemicals, mining, construction, and transportation as key industries for prevention, aiming to reduce the incidence of work-related accidents in these industries by approximately 10% within five years. Notably, the action plan specifically emphasizes the vigorous promotion of "artificial intelligence + work injury prevention," using intelligent methods to improve the precision of prevention and strengthen protective training for frontline workers.

A flurry of industry safety standards are being implemented. While policies are guiding the process, specific industry implementation standards are also being comprehensively upgraded. The Ministry of Emergency Management recently approved several mandatory industry standards, including the "Safety Specifications for Equipment Maintenance Operations in Chemical Enterprises" (AQ 3026-2026), which will officially take effect at the end of September this year. Meanwhile, the "Specifications for the Allocation of Personal Protective Equipment" for the petroleum, chemical, and natural gas industries is currently in the revision and public consultation phase, proposing more detailed requirements for the allocation of new job types and new protective products.
